How hotels keep guest and company records

Hotels keep a guest record for the person and a company account for the bill. FrontDesk splits those into Guest and Company.

How hotels keep guest and company records

A hotel keeps two kinds of records that are easy to mix up. The guest record is the person: name, CNIC or mobile, past stays, last room, and stay type. The company record is the account that receives the invoice when the stay is billed to a firm.

FrontDesk keeps them apart. Guest search finds a returning person. Company holds the list, receipts, invoices, unbilled invoices, payments, and commission. A guest can stay on a company account without the person’s history and the firm’s balance becoming the same screen.

That split is what makes bill-to-company stays workable at the desk. Reception finds the guest. Accounts finds the company.
